The Gift of Water

Our water projects are strategically located in areas where families struggle to access clean water, ensuring that no one has to travel far for this essential resource.

Water is life. Our beneficiaries rely on our wells, pumps, and boreholes for drinking, washing, and farming, empowering communities and fostering growth.

Boreholes - Dug efficiently by machine, borehole provide reliable water access for years to come.

Water Wells - Hand-dug and wide in diameter, our water wells offer accessible water solutions. With a lifespan of 7-10 years, these wells make a lasting difference.

Hand Pump - For smaller communities and families, our hand pumps offer convenience and reliability. Though not as deep as a well, these pumps sustainably supply water for 2-5 years

Ablution Facility - The Ablution facilities are built in areas where locals have built a masjid but could not afford to construct an ablution facility or toilet. The water will also be used by the local community for daily usage. These last on average between 7-10 years.

 - For a personalised touch, donors of full wells, pumps, or boreholes receive custom plaques. Simply provide your request in the comments box during donation.

Please use the comments box to provide details for the plaque in ONE of the following ways:

  • Donated by: [Your Name]
  • On Behalf of: [Name]
  • Sadaqah Jaariyah for: [Name]

Some plaque details may be shortened. (For donations without plaque details, the donors name will be used)

Completion times for projects vary but typically range from 6-8 months, depending on project type and location. Water well construction in Guinea Bissau occurs between February and May, aligning with favourable weather conditions.

- Construction of all water projects donated after the 21st of April 2024 will commence after August.

At Abdullah Aid, we prioritise impact. Any surplus funds are reinvested into our water projects, maximizing our reach
